The Roses Project works with pupils from Schools and Colleges in an exciting outdoor environment. The aim is to develop their qualities and skills through residential, personal development, outdoor activity courses. We provide imaginative and high quality training, delivered by fully qualified, dedicated and professional instructors.
The young people are challenged and motivated in an enjoyable way during the courses which run mainly in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. The range of licensed activities may include abseiling, kayaking, camping, canoeing, coasteering, swimming, nightline, rock climbing, team building, gorge walking, canyoning, boogie boarding, navigation tuition, hill and coastal walking and surfing. In addition, we run programmes for, and on behalf of, Duke of Edinburgh training and assessments in Scotland and abroad.
We have been successfully running these courses for 20 years with many groups returning year on year and the enclosed comments we have received confirm that the Roses Project is highly valued by our user groups and schools from all over the UK.
Testimonials
One word – Inspirational! What a fantastic experience! We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks for organizing such a fantastic opportunity. The five day residential on Mull fulfilled all expectations and much, much more….Thanks to the instructors for their boundless enthusiasm, commitment and ability to motivate even the most reluctant participants.

The team benefitted hugely from having an experienced mountain guide accompany them. He brought a wealth of knowledge, experience, practical skills and advice to the expedition...This brought about a real sense of adventure and helped build confidence and self esteem.
Tiree High School
We all saw the transformation through the week of individuals who came to understand of what they were capable if they believed in themselves and trusted others….It is your ability to make each individual feel special that makes what you offer so rewarding and unique.
Halifax High School
All the activities are designed to stretch the pupils out of their comfort zone; they encouraged team building, self reliance and trust. They learnt to work as a team and respect each other’s differences.
